A native New Yorker, Bekka Melino is a production designer who takes a multidisciplinary, hands-on approach to creating sets for print, commercials, television, music videos, photography and special events. Bekka studied art and music at The Evergreen State College where she earned a BA in Visual Arts and Music. She is well versed in theater, photography, printmaking, painting, sewing, welding, bronze casting, forging and sculpture. Over the years Bekka has had the pleasure of working in tandem with directors such as Spike Lee and John Hillcoat, as well as photographers David LaChapelle, Mark Seliger and host of other talented artists.
Bekka is a world traveler who is inspired by all things that stimulate the senses. She has explored Central and South America, Europe and Asia, collecting the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the flora and fauna that serve as inspiration for her creative work.
When she isn’t on set, Bekka enjoys redesigning and refinishing homes, making art and music, and experiencing life with her two amazing daughters.
